My Ultralight Kitchen Book is an excel ent book on ultralight backpacking and camping. It is not a do it your own book. There is a great deal of information on the various techniques and equipment needed for ultralight backpacking. It contains some wonderful recipes that would be so hard to find at your local supermarket.

This book is about thirty pages in length and contains a lot of very useful information that wil help you tremendously on your next backpacking adventure. Most of the chapters

consist of a Q and A section as wel as a detailed review of the book. I real y liked the section on the equipment and supplies you wil need for ultralight backpacking. It is very good and helps a lot. However, there was quite a bit of

unnecessary material. For example, there are chapters on

using headlamps, solar cooking and the necessity of a

Coleman stove.

There is also an excel ent index. However, since the

information is so helpful and the index is so easy to use, I found myself skipping the index more than I care to admit. If you need to look up something, you might as wel skip the table of contents and go directly to the recipe section or the equipment list.

Other than that, this is an excel ent book on ultralight backpacking and real y helped me to prepare many of the meals that I normal y prepare on a normal basis for my family. Some of the recipes are so simple you might wonder why anyone would spend money on them.

The Good Food Guide, which this book is marketed as, is a complete guide to ultralight backpacking nutrition. In it, you wil find complete food pyramid information that wil provide you with plenty of ideas on what to take on any trail. These include whole grain foods, fruits, vegetables, proteins and unsaturated fats. These are al good stuff to be included in your backpack food supply.

For starters, my biggest problem when preparing food for my family has been lack of storage space. I have two medium sized suitcases ful of camping food and utensils. The problem was, one suitcase was packed tightly and wouldn't close. This suitcase was then crammed into a smal single passenger car for trips to grocery stores and other places. I purchased many other Coleman products online which al owed me to have more storage space and made preparing meals easier.

Another thing that I struggled with was preparing meals while on a canoe trip out at sea. The chal enge was that many of our meals needed to be kept cold so that we could store them for longer periods at sea. When you add boiling water and ice to that mix, you can see why keeping your food cold can be such a hassle!

Final y, my biggest issue was keeping clean up simple. Clean up is real y not that difficult but it does take a lot of focus and time. I hate cleaning up because every time I get started there is always something left behind. However, the Ultralight Kitchen Lantern provided enough shade to keep the leaves off of the veggies and the condiments as wel as al of the spices and liquids.

This made quick work of keeping clean up simple and I was able to finish my dinner in under an

hour!

Overal I real y enjoy my ultralight invention. It has provided me with so much more space in my house and lets me prepare meals quicker than I could have imagined. Anyone looking for a solution to limited counter space would do wel to consider these products. They are light, pack easily, and are very functional. Furthermore, they are extremely affordable and easy to assemble. My only regret is that my brother never bought them.
