New HTC device leaked in recent YouTube video [video]

HTC the Taiwanese manufacturer, posted a video today on its YouTube channel displaying a brand new device. We’re not sure what the device is or if this was a leak, but according to a recent post from Engadget , they mention their tipster suggested that it could be the Wildfire 2.  And, we’ve also been hearing around the web that based on an inventory leak, it will likely be called HTC Wildfire S.

The video below begins on a beach and sports a sexy new device that appears after the guy on the beach turns over a rock. If you look closely, you can see it’s very similar to the original Wildfire device.

HTC Outs Wildfire 2 In New Commercial

HTC has outed what looks like an the successor to its Wildfire Android smartphone, showing the new device in new video uploaded to its YouTube account.

The video centers on HTC’s innovation, focusing on how customer ideas inspires everything the company does.

Just five seconds in, the new device is shown, sporting the same profile and appearance as the existing Wildfire model but the optical trackpad looks to have been removed. The video also highlights the T-Mobile G2, HTC Evo and HTC Droid Incredible, demonstrating how the company has “innovated” with its device designs.

It has been rumoured that HTC could unveiling as many as four new handsets at this years MWC; we have already seen shots of the new HTC Saga handset and the new Wildfire could be the next handset to fill one of these spots. We will be at Mobile World Congress, keeping up on everything HTC, we hope to be able to bring you more information on this handset in due course.

Official: Android 3.0 Honeycomb to be unveiled next Wednesday

Andy Rubin, Google’s VP of Engineering will be in Mountain View, CA, next Wednesday to officially unveil “Honeycomb,” Google’s new operating system developed specifically for tablets, as first reported by AllThingsD .

Rubin and a few other Goolgers will show Android 3.0 Honeycomb , which will run on Motorola’s new XOOM tablet that was unveiled at CES earlier this month with T-Mobile’s LG tablet expected to follow shortly after. This event follows hot on the heels of the Verizon’s CES keynote speech just a few weeks ago.

How much more can Honeycomb surprise us? We’ll be there to report.
